Pennsylvania has undergone a transition in which the umber of physicians employed by a hospital or health system has increased dramatically. The Pennsylvania Medical Society (PAMED) remains mindful of issues that affect employed physicians as well as their colleagues in independent practice.
In the video above, Larry Light, Senior VP for Physician Advocacy ad Political Affairs, outlines some advocacy initiatives that PAMED plans to pursue, including legislation that will strengthen physicians’ clinical autonomy and eliminate restrictive covenants.
